The studio journal accompanies the works without explaining them after the fact. It gathers notes on preparation, composition, materials and reworking: what happens before a canvas, what is decided during its making and what may remain visible in the result.
A working notebook
Entries follow the studio’s actual rhythm rather than a theoretical calendar. They may mention a ground, a layer, a repeated mistake, light or a compositional decision. They do not replace a work page; they broaden its context.
Images of the studio show a working space and paintings in progress. They offer material and hanging references without presenting works as fixed objects or as definitively finished.
From journal to catalogue
Where an entry mentions a work, its associated link leads to the catalogue page. Visitors can return to dimensions, technique and other available details, then continue reading through other entries from the same notebook.
